1938 Playbill Pgm-On Borrowed Time-Longacre-Benny Goodman + Duke Ellington Ads

Offered is this vintage "Playbill" program from the first Broadway run of the play "On Borrowed Time", at the Longacre Theatre during the week of April 11, 1938. One notable name in the cast was a young Dick Van Patten (listed as "Dickie"-see photos #2 & #3 for cast list). There is a "who's who in the cast" section as well as an article on current fashions and a list of other Broadway productions of the time. The program is filled with great local and national ads for products like cars, cosmetics, clothing, cigarettes, whiskey and more, as well as a few for well-known stores, restaurants and nightclubs with their current featured musical entertainment, among them Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and Xavier Cugat.
The program is in very good condition. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the cover. There is a crease down the middle where it has been folded and a small spot on the cover where a label used to be.
