    Description

    A hand-made tambourine (diameter 31 cm) is a full-fledged musical instrument.The tambourine (membrane)is made of maral leather,the frame(shell)is made of birch and glued with a water-resistant,heat-resistant glue.
    Previously, before pulling the skin, the shell is treated with wax in order to avoid drying out of the wood and cracking of the frame.The leather is subjected to a tanning process,which significantly improves the quality and strength of the leather, if necessary, it is painted(mainly with vegetable dyes).
    After drying, the membrane is waxed (soaked with wax),which in turn protects the tambourine both from drying out and from excessive dampness.
    Wax allows you to warm up the tambourine at sufficiently high temperatures-a live fire, a construction hair dryer(depending on the conditions),with minimal risks for the tool,actually for this reason the shell is waxed,and not varnished.A wooden mallet is included with the tambourine.                                 You will receive: A tambourine with a hammer
