Description
This auction is for aFIRST CHILEAN SILVER ENLISTED SUBMARINE BADGE ("H" CLASS) 1920 REPRODUCTION.
The photos pretty much tell the story. The first Chilean/Chile Submarine Badge (called the "H" Class Badge) dates from 1920 unofficially and was recognized in 1927 by the Official Bulletin of the Army, 25 August, 1927. Bronze & Gold for Officers, aluminum for enlisted men. It was worn until the upgrading of the fleet in 1929 to "O" Type Submarines. This badge is a quality reproduction of the original badge.

THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF THIS IS EXTREMELY RARE ARE BADGES FOUND IN CHILEAN MUSEUMS. I HAVE ONLY SEEN ONE COLLECTOR THAT HAD AN ORIGINAL CHILE "H" CLASS SUBMARINE BADGE IN HIS COLLECTION AND I BELIEVE IT WAS HIS BADGE THAT WAS USED TO REPRODUCE THIS BADGE.
