    Description

    Some nice Broadway history with this rare lot of 4 Cast Cutouts from Abbey's Theatre Programs Playbills from 1894-96 for different productions including Sir Henry Irving in King Arthur.   Irving was supposedly one of the inspirations for Bram Stoker's Dracula character as Stoker was manager at one of the theatres where Irving often performed.  Abbey's Theatre was built in 1893 and located at Broadway and 38th St., New York City.  In 1896 the name was changed to the Knickerbocker Theatre.  In 1930 the building was demolished to make room for the growing garment district.  On reverse side of cutouts are parts of other pages from the Programs.  Conditions are very good some wear along edges and fading normal with 125 y.o. age.  Great for framing.  These will ship fast and FREE!  Contact us any questions we try our best and please follow our store if you seek rare and unique.
