This auction is for a
RARE ORIGINAL AUTHENTIC (1st EDITION) MALAYSIA MESS DRESS (MINIATURE) ALL RANKS GOLD SUBMARINE BADGE / INSIGNIA
.  The badge measures approximately 1.80" x .60".  It is solid die cast construction.   This insignia differs from the current insignia in the following ways:  It has one clutch post pin on the back (vice two on the current version).  The crown is different, it is smaller with less enamel paint, the anchor has gaps between the dolphins and the lower portions of the anchor.  It has two MORE STREAMLINE dolphins facing each other with an anchor and the Royal Malaysian Crown painted in red enamel paint in the center.  The badge is worn on the left side of chest above the ribbons.  This badge is new in cellophane.  It does not have any makers marks but I know that it is authentic because it was purchased at a Malaysian Navy Uniform Shop.
