    Description

    USS O’Hare DDR 889 Ships Placard.  Placard is approximately 8 inches in diameter (1/2 inch thick) and made of cast aluminum. Paint appears to be the original and has some chipped areas.  The O'Hare was a Gearing-class destroyer launched in November 1945.  It was re-designated DDR-889, a radar picket ship, in 1953.  The O'Hare served in the US Navy until 1973 and the Spanish Navy until 1992.  Item is sold as-is so please review photos carefully.
