Description
A beyond rare Program ('Programme') Playbill for Park Theatre located at First St. and Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ, for week ending July 11, 1908. 4 pgs. with last page blank. Thursday nights were Amateur Night and that was the night this woman attended because she made notation at top of first page including that she had a 'dandy time' with Thomas Magner Jr. Don't know who woman is. We did look up Thomas and actually found him born in Bayonne 1891 and it looks like he remained in city and became a dentist. Park Theatre wasn't around long it burned down in early 1920's. The Amateur Night had several acts including The Three Dancing Mitchells, the Four Musical Kleins, Brown and Hodges Indian College Students and Singing Cartoonists, and much more. Lots of local ads too including Madame Kentana Psychic Expert with over 4000 readings last year, Bergen Point Casino Straus Bros. Pharmacies and many more. Measures 7 x10". This is a fantastic piece of Bayonne and theater history and museum worthy. Condition is fair to good there is creasing and small tears mostly along edges. We did apply piece of document repair tape in one spot to prevent further deterioration. This will ship fast and FREE!
